ABOUT US...

Boxer Lovers Rescue is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization with a small kennel facility and a growing foster network throughout Idaho and surrounding states. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals, specifically boxer dogs, fostering a community united in animal welfare.

Founded in 2015, Boxer Lovers Rescue (BLR) provides a lifeline for boxer dogs in high-risk situations. Our organization rescues hundreds of boxers each year from overcrowded shelters, abusive or neglectful environments, and life-threatening circumstances, providing them with essential medical care, behavioral training, and the opportunity to find loving, responsible families. To date, BLR has successfully placed over 2,000 boxers in loving homes.

BLR is more than just an animal rescue organization; we inspire hope for animals and the community. Our goal is to not only find homes for these animals but also educate the public, thus reducing future abandonment and mistreatment.

We can fulfill our mission through our Shelter To Home program, which focuses on three key areas: rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption. These areas are interconnected and work together to provide the best possible outcomes for the boxers in our care

RESCUE

Boxer Lovers BLR works closely with shelters, animal control agencies, veterinarians, and community members to identify boxers in need of rescue. Our Intake Team will then coordinate efforts to transport the boxer(s) into our care.

REHABILITATION

Once in our care, boxers undergo a  health assessment by our veterinarian partners. This includes vaccinations, spay/neuter surgeries, and treatment for any medical issues. Additionally, our foster families work with the boxers to address any behavioral issues and prepare them for life in a new home.

ADOPTION

Through our adoption application and non-judgemental conversations, our Adoption Team will get to know the dynamics of a potential adopters environment to ensure a successful match between the boxer and its new family.
